My father was a vibrant, active, smart, loving person. Before Alzheimer’s, he swam every day, was an active community member, and loved life. My mother did an amazing job taking care of him. A true example of the unconditional love they had for each other.

My advice would be to always consider and not be afraid to have a memory care facility to take care of the Alzheimer’s patient. It is very expensive and I hope, not only will they find a cure, but make it more affordable for a care home or in-home caregiver support. Every person deserves a wonderful end to a life they worked hard for. Love and miss my daddy so much!
